As Coventry Rugby prepares for a new season, Embark Learning and Fairway Healthcare are proud to continue their partnership with the club for a second year.
What began as a sponsorship has developed into a partnership that is creating real opportunities for people across Coventry. With a classroom and learning centre based at the club, Embark Learning is able to deliver employability programmes from a central location within the community, helping local people gain the skills and training they need to take their next step into health and social care.
Working alongside Fairway Healthcare, learners can then progress from training into employment, creating a clear pathway from gaining the right skills to starting a career in care.
Making a difference in Coventry
The first year of the partnership has already delivered some strong results. More than 30 people have been successfully trained and placed into health and social care roles in and around Coventry, with 100% of learners completing their programmes, more than 90% receiving job offers and 99% sustaining their employment.
These figures represent more than just successful programme outcomes. They represent local people gaining new skills, finding employment and starting careers where they can make a difference to the lives of others.

Together with the club, which facilitates our employability programmes, we have managed to identify, train and place over 30 successful new health and social care professionals in and around Coventry.
We had a staggering 100% completion rate for our programmes, over 90% job offers and 99% sustained employment. Incredible stats. We look forward to a second season, increased programmes and more opportunities for local people to receive the training they need to embark on a new career in health and social care.

Looking ahead to the new season
The aim for the second year is to build on what has already been achieved and create even more opportunities for people across Coventry.
With plans to increase the number of programmes delivered through the club, the partnership will continue to bring training closer to the community and help more people explore a career in health and social care.
