Fairway Family

Coronavirus and the Fairway Family

These last couple of months have been different, interesting, challenging and anxious. We have all found ourselves in unbelievable territory in unimaginable circumstances. However, the ‘Fairway Family’ have pulled together in quite staggering ways. This of course would not be possible without the bravery, commitment and support of our wonderful Social Care Superstars who are dedicated, vocational, inspirational and wonderful.

Our team of superstars in the office have kept the ship sailing, with incredible dexterity. In these hugely challenging months, we have provided over 60,000 hours of care and support to the social care sector in a time of huge demand, need and difficulty. We have also recruited over 70 new professionals with enhanced rates of pay for dedication to the sector.

Our Sister company Embark Learning has performed miracles, switching the entire delivery model on its head to design, implement and roll out VLE delivery. This is to support front line staff with essential training, to ensure safe practice and to support our clients and partners to recruit in difficult times.

Since the beginning of March, we have purchased over 95,000 items of PPE (with more on order) to give to staff and donate to clients. We wanted to go further and help spread some positivity around the homes of our social care clients, which is why we have contacted Victoria McCabe from Wishing Well Productions. Victoria has recorded her upcoming ‘SPRINGING SWINGING SIXTIES’ 45 minute show, which we have purchased on DVD for clients residents to enjoy and sing-a-long.

We have taken measures to ensure that we remain open around the clock, providing over 3500 miles of paid transport provided to ensure the most vulnerable clients are covered and cared for. As well as increasing our resource by expanding our operational team, focusing our efforts on worker availability and provided all the necessary measures to ensure front line staff are available and ready to go.
